Because they're built differently under the hood. Logging feeds, diapers or sleep lives 100% on your phone, never touching a server — it costs nothing, so it stays free forever. Real-time syncing with another device does depend on a server (Firebase) that costs money per real usage, and that's what the Family plan covers.
No. It's enough for one person (the Admin account) to have Alfonso Family active. You invite everyone else with a link — no account, no payment on their end, with whatever role you choose for each.
Yes. You can choose to pay monthly or once a year — both options unlock the same Alfonso Family features. You'll see the price for each when you activate it in the app.
Yes. Payment is processed 100% through Google Play or the App Store, using the payment method you already have saved there — Alfonso never sees or stores your card number.
Inside the app, on the activation screen. That way we always show the correct price in your currency and store (Google Play or App Store), instead of a fixed dollar figure that ends up not matching what you're actually charged.
Any time, directly from your Google Play or App Store account settings — no need to email us. You get a heads-up before it renews, so you can decide with time whether to continue or not.
Your data stays on your phone, since it's local. Canceling turns off sync between devices, cloud backup, the shared photo feed, and history beyond the last 7 days — everything else keeps working for free, like always.
Not to log. Daily tracking works 100% offline, on both the free plan and Family. Internet is only needed at the moment you sync with another device.
