Alfonso wasn't born in a meeting room. It was born at 3am, trying to figure out if the crying meant hunger, sleep, or something else.

From Gonzalo and Vanessa, to you

We're Gonzalo and Vanessa. Our son is named Alfonso — that's where the app's name comes from.

Like every first-time parent, we showed up with no manual. What we found online didn't help much: an ocean of information, a lot of it contradictory, plenty of it made up by someone on social media who's never met your baby. Group chats full of conflicting opinions, accounts selling certainty that doesn't exist, articles that contradict each other in the same Google search.

We're not pediatricians. We're two tired people trying to sort out the same thing you are: how much did they eat, how much did they sleep, is that mark normal, is this the vaccine week. We're still figuring it out — being a first-time parent isn't something you finish learning, it's something you live through.

What was missing

We tried several apps. Some were good — but built for one language, one country, one kind of family. If your pediatrician speaks Portuguese and your partner speaks English, or your mother-in-law helps out and can't read the app or the numbers you're showing her, that "small detail" turns into daily friction. We wanted something simple: log what matters without friction, and let anyone who cares for your baby — partner, grandparent, nanny — open it and understand it, in their own language.

We don't have all the answers. That's exactly why we built this.

Your baby's information is yours, not a platform's. Caring for a baby is teamwork, so the app should help you share, not just collect data for one person. And we don't replace your pediatrician — we organize what you're going to tell them.

Today

It's still just the two of us building Alfonso, with our own Alfonso as the reason we care that it works well. This isn't a 200-person company — if you write to us, we're the ones who answer.
